Data Protection Notice
Privacy Notice
Your personal data may be processed when you use this website and associated services. This privacy notice informs you about the personal and other data we process and about your rights in relation to it.
The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is Bonabry Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten, Neuer Wall 72, 20354 Hamburg, Germany (“Bonabry” or “we”). You can contact us using the contact details given on the imprint page of this website.
1. Access data
We collect data about access to the site and store these as ‘server log files’. The following data is logged in this way:
visited website
time of access
source/reference from which you came to the site
browser used
operating system used
IP address used
The data collected is used solely for statistical analysis and to improve the operation of the website. The legal basis for the data processing is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest arises from the data processing purposes listed above.
2. Matomo
We use the “Matomo” service to track and analyze user movement on our website (number of visits/calls, pages visited, length of stay). We do this to pursue our legitimate interest in quality assurance and optimization of our website.
Matomo does not create a “fingerprint”. Instead, Matomo uses a so-called “config_id”. The “config_id” is a randomly assigned and temporary hash value of a limited set of settings and attributes of the visitor. The “config_id” is a string that is calculated for a visitor based on their operating system, browser, browser plugins, browser language and IP address. The “config_id” is only valid for the domain of our website and for a maximum of 24 hours. It is then discarded. It is therefore not technically possible to identify visitors or to track usage over several days and/or across different websites.
All data collected through Matomo is stored locally on our server. The data is not shared with the provider of Matomo or third parties. IP addresses are anonymized by truncation so that they cannot be assigned to individual visitors. We also use Matomo without cookies, which means that no files or other information are stored on your browser or device.
3. Your rights
Subject to any applicable legal requirements, you have the following rights in relation to our processing of your personal data:
Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR): You have the right to obtain confirmation as to whether we are processing personal data relating to you, and if so, what personal data, and to access such personal data and receive further information such as the purpose(s) for which we are processing it. You also have the right to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): You have the right to have inaccurate personal data about you corrected and incomplete personal data completed.
Right to erasure/’right to be forgotten’ (Art. 17 GDPR): You have the right to have your personal data erased from our storage, provided that one of the reasons listed in Art. 17(1) GDPR applies, for example if your personal data is no longer necessary in relation to the purpose(s) for which it was collected, or you withdraw your consent on which the processing is based, and there is no other legal basis for the processing.
Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR): You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data, provided that one of the grounds listed in Art. 18(1) GDPR applies, for example, if you dispute the accuracy of your personal data or if you have objected to the processing under Art. 21 GDPR, you may request that we restrict the processing of the personal data concerned for the period necessary to verify the (in)accuracy or the justification of your objection.
Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR): You have the right to obtain the personal data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to transmit it to another controller or, where technically possible, to have it transmitted directly from us to another controller. This only applies where the processing is based on your consent or a contract and the processing is carried out by automated means.
Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Where our processing of your personal data is based on our or a third party’s legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you have the right to object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.
Withdrawal of consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR): You have the right to withdraw your consent(s) to our processing of your personal data at any time. Withdrawal of your consent will not affect the lawfulness of the processing based on the consent prior to its withdrawal.
If you wish to exercise your rights, please send an email to info@bonabry.de or otherwise contact us. You can find our full contact details on the imprint page of this website.
Complaint (Art. 77 GDPR): You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example, the supervisory authority of your usual place of residence or work or the supervisory authority of our registered office (which is in Hamburg).
